Interesting take on the trad FCP talent agency

Came across this interesting take on the post-production talent agency. The Final Cut Pro Talent Registry are based in Oz but as far as I can tell they also have an operation in London. The key difference with TFCPTR is that they don't charge the clients - except for urgent bookings. So they don't charge a fortune for your time and then pay you peanuts. The candidate sets their own day rate, so it has nothing to do with the agency and at the end of the job they ask for a small percentage of the bottom line (although they don't make it clear on their website exactly how much). The great thing is that if you were to be hired for a long contract - you'd only be charged for the first four weeks. Which I think sounds like a pretty good deal. As well as that - and this is an important difference - if a particular client wants to hire you again, they are free to do so without going through TFCPTR.

As they say: check it out http://www.fcptalent.com/Intro/Intro.html.
