Hello world...

Welcome to my first blog. Yes, as you have no doubt already figured out, I’m new to this. So - what’s it all about? And why have I turned to the blogosphere? As much as I love Twitter - and, let me assure you, I do - I rely on it as a source of general news and gossip and also industry news and chatter - but there’s only so much one can say in 140 characters.

I’ll be using this blog to say the things that I can’t say on Twitter and to discuss issues that come up in the video editing/production/post-production industry. Sure, it will be very Apple and Final Cut Pro biased, but I’ll be looking at new products, new ideas and new ways of working. As well as giving a shout out to anything related that I see that is in any way ‘cool’. (Don’t you just hate the way that word is over-used these days?)

I’ll also be going through the encyber: Digital Media Final Cut Pro tutorials that are featured on the encyber: Digital Media website and YouTube channel. I make these tutorials for long time users of Final Cut Pro as well as beginners and so far I’ve had some pretty good feedback. People seem to find them useful. Which is satisfying.

I’ll probably also use this forum to vent my spleen in other directions too. You’ve been warned..
