Admiral Taverns - Food
Admiral Taverns operates around 2,000 pubs in the UK, through its network of licensees. The brief was to illustrate the company's commitment to its licensees and demonstrate the benefits of becoming an Admiral tenant. Three videos were produced, each relating to a different aspect of the Admiral offer: Food, Refurbishment and Repairs. The videos were produced for the Annual Conference and were re-purposed for exhibition use, the Admiral website and YouTube.
My role was initially that of an advisor, helping the Marketing team come up with a clear idea as to how best to tell each part of the story. A 'talking-heads' approach was agreed on, based on the conviction that the target audience would appreciate the honesty and directness of the 'straight from the horse's mouth' testimony. The resulting videos were greeted very favourably by the client and the audience and further videos on the same lines are planned for the future.
Food
Admiral is keen to help and support its licensees offer a tasty, rounded and profitable menu. This video uses, as a case study, The Crown pub in the Yorkshire village of Monk Fryston, whose menu has been revitalised and whose kitchen modernised in a joint effort between the landlord and Admiral. It tells a very positive story of co-operation between the two, resulting in a complete change in this village local's fortunes.
